Teaching Resources

The Institute for American Indian Studies offers teaching resources related to the archaeological sites found on this website as a means of helping students engage in the study of past indigenous life ways.

For grades 3, 5, 8, and High School IAIS utilizes the Teach It! website- “a project of Connecticut Humanities, formed in collaboration with the Connecticut League of Historic Organizations. Driven by a desire to help state’s educators foster a greater appreciation for Connecticut’s role in the national historic narratives, Teach It provides inquiry-based activities that reinforce the learning principles found in the state social studies frameworks.”
